Eunice Dickman, Postville, Iowa, January 3, 2018

Eunice Irene Dickman, 90, of Postville, Iowa died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society, Postville, Iowa. Eunice Irene was born on December 19, 1927 to Arno and Bernadine (Brandtman) Doerring in Monona Township, Clayton County. She was baptized on March 3, 1928 and confirmed on July 19, 1942 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, Iowa. Eunice attended Luana Consolidated school through the eighth grade.

Eunice was united in marriage with Myrl Dean Dickman on January 26, 1950 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa. Together they farmed east of Postville, raising hogs and chickens and milking dairy cows. Eunice loved to farm and was in charge of milking the cows. They retired in 1989 and moved to Postville. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville and enjoyed traveling, eating out, gardening, and fishing.

Eunice is survived by two sisters, Maxine Morch of Decorah, Iowa and Inez (Dwayne) Moon of Luana, Iowa; her brother, Roland (Marlene) Doerring of Elkader, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Doerring of Monona, Iowa and Elaine Doerring of Manchester, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Myrl Dean, on January 15, 2017; parents, Arno and Bernadine Doerring; brothers, Oliver Doerring and James Doerring; and one brother-in-law, Leo Morch.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society Chapel. Postville, Iowa with Deacon Pat Malanaphy and Pastor Lynn Noel as the Officiants. There will be a one hour visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the Good Samaritan Society Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Postville Cemetery, Postville, Iowa.
