Edwin then worked for the West Union Country Club as a grounds keeper.
Eleanor passed away May 18, 1992 and later that year Edwin moved to West Union. On January 9, 1999 he married Mabel Gullickson. After retirement he and Mabel liked to travel, taking many one and two day trips. They loved going to many dances. He honed his wood working skills, turning out many beautiful furniture pieces, which became cherished gifts to many family members.
