Tommy Elliott

Tommy grew up in Muskegon, Michigan where he graduated from Muskegon High School. While in high school at 14 years old he started working a few hours during the school day at a Achterhoff Mortuary and gained valuable experience, and also received high school credit for working at the funeral home. After graduation from high school, Tommy started his apprenticeship at Clock Funeral Home in Muskegon, MI before finishing his apprenticeship at Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, while on his apprentice he continued his education at Muskegon Community College to complete his studies in Pre-Mortuary Science before transferring to Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois graduating with an Associate of Arts in Mortuary Science in September 2007.

Tommy is the first in his family to go into funeral service and feels that he was called into this prestigious profession. He feels empathy with families being that he has served his own personal family from time of death to their burial. He feels it an honor when his own family dies that he is able to be there for his family. Tommy is licensed in Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.

When not at work, Tommy enjoys spending time with his son Alex, his fiancé Leslie and her daughter Sage, golfing, as well as many other hobbies that he may find interesting especially traveling to Northern Michigan.

Tommy is passionate about helping families and is very grateful to be part of the Grau Funeral Home team and looks forward to working and learning from the staff and people of Iowa. He has recently moved to Iowa and looks forward to making Iowa his new home.
