Woodrow Francis Kuhse<\/strong>, 62, of Elkader, died Saturday, November 13, 2021, at his home in Elkader. He was born April 24, 1959 in Prairie du Chien, WI, to Francis W. and Catherine (Weber) Kuhse.<\/p>\n

He graduated from Garnavillo High School. Woody worked on a dairy farm and was known for driving the tractor home for lunch. He retired in January of 2021.<\/p>\n

Woody enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his dogs. He was an enthusiastic coon hunter – even so he never carried a gun! \u00a0One time he tried to shoo a coon up a tree with bare hands.<\/p>\n

He was always willing to help and enjoyed baking cookies. He cooked lunch for Bernie every day after their mom passed away in February of 2019. He never turned down a meal and never complained about the cooking even so it wasn\u2019t always good.<\/p>\n

Survivors include his brothers, Bernard E. (Sandra) Kuhse of Edgewood, Joseph Kuhse of Dubuque, step-nephew, Lucas Walter-Klosterman and many friends.,<\/p>\n

Woody was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.<\/p>\n

Visitation: 9am until 10:45am, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Peace United Church of Christ in Elkader<\/p>\n

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Peace United Church of Christ with Rev. Jon Haack officiating<\/p>\n

Inurnment: East Side Cemetery – Elkader<\/p>\n
