Larson at the East Clermont Lutheran Church.\u00a0 They became the parents of 3 girls and 3 boys; Ann, Lois, Gary, James, Barbara, and David.<\/p>\n<p>LaVerne and Marilyn farmed east of Clermont for 5 Years.\u00a0 In 1956 they purchased the \u201cBauder\u201d farm 1.5 miles NE of Elgin.\u00a0 This is where they started their dairy herd.\u00a0 LaVerne and Marilyn farmed this farm together along with their 6 children for 37 years.\u00a0 In 1993 they built their home at 400 Shin Bone Dr. in Elgin.\u00a0 They lived here for 14 years before LaVerne died Oct 9, 2007.\u00a0 They were married 4 days short of 56 years.<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 42 years, the neighborhood Sunnydale Club, and was a faithful member of her church-teaching Sunday School, Bible School, active in the Women\u2019s organization and served on the church council.<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn liked to read, write letters, poems and short stories, embroider, go on Sunday afternoon rides, attend her children\u2019s school activities, mow lawn, blow snow and take lunches to the fields during planting and harvesting.<\/p>\n<p>In later years she enjoyed visits from her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and driving her pick-up truck to see what was going on at the farms in the country.<\/p>\n<p>After LaVerne\u2019s death, Marilyn continued living in her home for another 14 years.\u00a0 She celebrated her 88<sup>th<\/sup> birthday August 26, 2021.\u00a0 On September 15 she moved to Stoney Brook Assisted Living in West Union.\u00a0 Her death occurred there on November 17, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn is survived by 5 of her 6 children, Lois (Kim) Dummermuth, Elgin; Gary (LeAnn) Larson, Clermont; James Larson, Postville; Barbara (Brian) Wenger, Elgin; David (Janelle) Larson, Elgin.<\/p>\n<p>15 of her 16 grandchildren; Amy Decker, Sara Pankonen, Joel Bartz, Matt Dummermuth, Chad Dummermuth, Drew Dummermuth, Kari Putney, Brooke Schneider, Nick Larson, Abbie Huinker, Joshua Larson, Jacob Larson, Aaron Wenger, Landon Wenger, Logan Wenger and 50 great grandchildren;
