Teaka was united in marriage with Jon Ayers on March 26, 1977, two children were born to this union. Throughout the years Teaka worked as a Welder,\u00a0 in healthcare and retired from Cabelas. She had a fierce work ethic and took pride in being the only female welder, back in the day. She loved all whom she worked with and met through the years as family.<\/p>\n
Teaka leaves a legacy behind filled with love, compassion, and a stubbornness that she passed down to her children.\u00a0Family was her love. She shared her love of her Grandkids with all whom she met. Teaka loved the yearly tradition she and her beloved sister Julie started, their Annual Crane Count. Teaka\u2019s humor, wit, heart, and laugh will be missed by many.<\/p>\n
Surviving Teaka are her beloved husband of 45 years, Jon Ayers of McGregor, Iowa; her children, Korey (Anja) Ayers of McGregor, Iowa and Abby (Todd Wilhelm) Martin of Dubuque, Iowa; her parents Jack and Pat Elliott of Marquette, Iowa; six grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; and her brother, Steve (Donna) Elliott of Portage, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n
Preceding Teaka in death were her sister, Julie Geno; brother, John Eldon Elliott; and many friends and family.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor, Iowa.<\/p>\n
Graveside Service will at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McGregor, Iowa with Rev. Bruce Hanson as the Officiant.<\/p>\n
