Bihun, 88, of Lansing, Iowa (formerly of De Soto, Wisconsin) died Saturday, February 25, 2017<\/strong> at Thornton Manor in Lansing.\u00a0 Michael Edward Bihun, the son of Lottie (Kubick) Bihun, was born August 28, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois.\u00a0 After graduating from high school, Mike served with the United States Navy.\u00a0 After his discharge from the Navy, Mike returned to Chicago and worked for U.S. Steel.\u00a0 He retired at the age of fifty-five after U.S. Steel closed.\u00a0 Mike and his partner, Dwain Puttkammer, purchased land near De Soto, Wisconsin and lived there for many years.<\/p>\n<p>Mike is survived by his brother, Walter J. Bihun of Des Plaines, Illinois; and two nieces, Linda Bihun and Margaret Latz of Des Plaines, Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>Mike was preceded in death by his partner, Dwain; his mother, Lottie; a sister-in-law, Lucille Bihun; and a nephew, Christopher Bihun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There will be no services.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing, Iowa is helping the family with the arrangements<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael E.
