Dennis Ray \u201cBud\u201d Moose, 56, of McGregor, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at his home in McGregor, Iowa. Dennis was born on October 31, 1960 to Hubert and Betty (Moses) Moose in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He graduated from Garnavillo High School in 1979.<\/p>\n
Bud was united in marriage with Karen Brooks on September 10, 1983 at United Methodist Church in McGregor, Iowa. From this marriage were two children, Barb and Tim. They later divorced. Dennis was united in marriage with Melody Zinkle on August 22, 2009 at Pikes Peak State Park in Clayton County, Iowa. From this marriage is one daughter, SaFire.<\/p>\n
Bud worked as a barge loader for Pattison Sand in Clayton, Iowa and Bunge in McGregor, Iowa.\u00a0 He also worked as an Aide for G and G Living Center. He was an avid outdoorsmen that enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He loved dancing to the Jam with his wife, Mel, on Sundays at Josie\u2019s River Queen “Sunday Funday”\u00a0 Dennis was a member of a dart league, pool league and the bar bowling league, where he met Mel.<\/p>\n
Bud is survived by his wife, Melody \u201cMel\u201d Moose of McGregor, Iowa; his children, Barb (Russ Helle) Moose of Guttenberg, Iowa, Tim Moose of Garnavillo, Iowa, \u2018tessa (Joshua Honeywell) Zinkle of Monona, Iowa, Jaydanne (Devon Chadeayne) Oswald, of Colorado, Brianna (Justin Jones) Fields of Postville, Iowa and SaFire Zinkle of McGregor, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Aiden, Iliauna, Kaiya, Kolton, Kynzli, Cameron, Dawson, Brooklyn, Wesley, Monroe and Cyrus; his mother, Betty Moose of Garnavillo, Iowa; father-in-laws, Bill Halverson of McGregor, Iowa; Terry Zinkle of Prairie Du Chien WI, siblings, Randy (Margie Wermuth) Moose of Garnavillo, Iowa, Debbie (Mark Rodenberg) Eilers-Lange of McGregor, Iowa, Cathy (Mike) Lames of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Dave (Jane) Moose of Farmersburg, Iowa.<\/p>\n
Bud was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Moose; and mother-in-law, Winnie O\u2019Brien-Halverson.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor, Iowa with a Eulogy at 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n
A Celebration of Life will be held at Josie\u2019s River Queen in McGregor, Iowa at a later date.<\/p>\n
Inurnment will be held at Clayton Cemetery, Clayton, Iowa at a later date.<\/p>\n
