\"\"John Francis Delaney, 90, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Thornton Manor, Lansing, Iowa. John Francis was born October 10, 1927 to John Joseph and Cecilia Ann (Conway) Delaney. He attended school through the eighth grade at Mound City. John continued to live on the farm and help his parents. He took great pride in raising his Beef Cattle.<\/p>\n

John is survived by his siblings, Myrtle Egan, Lester Delaney, Mark Delaney, Joseph Delaney, Patrick Delaney and Delores Mooney.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Cecilia Delaney; two siblings, Aelred Delaney and Martin Delaney; and two nephews, Michael Delaney and Leo Mooney.<\/p>\n

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Scripture Service on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing, Iowa. There will also be a one hour visitation before Mass at the church on Friday.<\/p>\n

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wexford, Iowa with Rev. John Moser, Msgr. Cletus Hawes, Rev. Donald Hawes and Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg as the Celebrants.<\/p>\n

Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, rural Lansing, Iowa.<\/p>\n
