\"\"Allen John Berns, 59, of Monona, Iowa died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Great River Care Center of McGregor, Iowa.\u00a0 Allen John was born October 30, 1958 to Louis Henry and Wilma Ann (Duetmeyer) Berns in Dubuque, Iowa. He graduated from MFL High School in 1977.<\/p>\n

Allen was self-employed and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, classic cars, riding motorcycles and playing cards.<\/p>\n

Allen is survived by his two daughters, Amy Berns of Monona, Iowa and Kristina (Keith) Thompson of Monona, Iowa; grandchildren, Drew and Mason Hird and Vivian Thompson; his father, Louis H. Berns of Monona, Iowa; his brothers, Dan (Lisa) Berns of Farmersburg, Iowa, Ron (Barb) Berns of Monona, Iowa, Tom (Jo) Berns of Luana, Iowa and Brian (Kerri) Berns of Luana, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n

Allen was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Berns; and two brothers, Tim Berns and Bob Berns.<\/p>\n

Visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa.<\/p>\n

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa with Rev. Nils de Jesus Hernandez as the celebrant.<\/p>\n

Burial will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Monona, Iowa.<\/p>\n
