  1. \"\"Michael “Mick” Schupbach, 70, of Lansing, Iowa formerly of Fairbank, Iowa<\/strong> died on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at his home in Lansing, Iowa. \u00a0Michael Edward was born August 30, 1948 to George and Mildred (Butikofer) Schupbach in Postville, Iowa. He graduated from Valley High in Elgin, Iowa and attended Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo, Iowa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Mick was united in marriage with Barbara Haagenson on November 15, 1969 in Nashua, Iowa. He worked as a machine operator for John Deere in Waterloo and retired in 2007. Mick was a retired member of the Fairbank Fire Department and Mississippi Valley Gun Club.<\/p>\n

    Mick loved spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren as they were very special to him.\u00a0 In his spare time, he loved fishing, hunting and tinkering with lawn mowers.\u00a0 He was always willing to help anyone in need and volunteer his time to help his community, neighbors, family or friends.\u00a0 Mick was never too busy to visit with anyone. He leaves his family with many fond memories to cherish.<\/p>\n

    Mick is survived by his wife, Barbara Schupbach of Lansing, Iowa; children, Tamara Miller of Oran, Iowa, Theresa Behling of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Jason (Abby) Schupbach of Waterloo, Iowa; four grandchildren, Todd Miller, Hannah Miller, Tyler Behling and Layne Schupbach; his siblings, Carol (Leo) Gage of Evansdale, Iowa, Sharon (Stan) Shaffer of Elgin, Iowa, John (Janet) Schupbach of Clermont, Iowa and Chuck (Janet) Schupbach of Cedar Falls, Iowa.<\/p>\n

    He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Schupbach; and one brother, Robert Schupbach.<\/p>\n

    Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 3-7 pm at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elgin, Iowa and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.<\/p>\n

    Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Elgin, Iowa.<\/p>\n

    Burial will follow at the Apostolic Cemetery, Elgin, Iowa.<\/p>\n
