\"\"<\/strong>\u00a0John E. Hoth<\/strong>, 84, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Garnavillo, <\/strong>passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019, at his residence. He was born January 21, 1935, in Read Township, to Edward and Viola (Schlitzer) Hoth. He was owner of a transportation trucking business that began in Garnavillo and then Cedar Rapids for many years. John lived for working and trucking.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his daughter, Robyn (Mark Huston) Michael of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Tina (Jeremy) Powers, Angie Happel and Brad Hoth; eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaNida Landt and Ivanelle Henning; sister-in-law, Ivanelle Hoth; many nieces, nephews and friends.<\/p>\n

John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bobbie Joseph; brothers, Harry, Duane (JoAnn) Hoth and Harold (Rachel) Hoth.<\/p>\n

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church<\/p>\n

Memorial Services<\/strong>: 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Center with Rev. Margaret Yackel-Juleen officiating.<\/p>\n

Visitation<\/strong>: 12:00 until Service time at the church<\/p>\n

Inurnment<\/strong> will be held at a later date.<\/p>\n
