Beverly Louise Friederich, 86, of Elgin, Iowa died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Stoney Brook in West Union, Iowa.\u00a0 Beverly Louise was born February 3, 1933 to Louis and Vera (Gress) Sutter in Elgin, Iowa. She attended Elgin Schools.<\/p>\nBeverly Louise Friederich, 86, of Elgin, Iowa died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Stoney Brook in West Union, Iowa.\u00a0 Beverly Louise was born February 3, 1933 to Louis and Vera (Gress) Sutter in Elgin, Iowa. She attended Elgin Schools.<\/p>\n
Beverly was united in marriage with Jacob Friederich, Jr. on January 18, 1949 in Elgin, Iowa.\u00a0 In addition to being a farm wife, Beverly was owner\/operator of Valley Caf\u00e9 in Elgin for eleven years. She also baked cakes for weddings, graduations and other special occasions. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, quilting and going to the boat. She loved being a grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma. Beverly was a member of St. Paul\u2019s United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was also active in Elgin Historical Society.<\/p>\n
Beverly is survived by her three children, Janice (David) Hendrickson of Decorah, Debra (Martin) Frieden of Elgin and Michael (Joyce) Friederich of Elgin; eight grandchildren, Darin (Sara) Hendrickson, Tami (Jason) Bohr, Rebecca (Paul) Jenkins, Rachel (Shawn) Fuhriman, Elizabeth (Jared) Bagwell, Matthew (Jennifer) Frieden, Amanda (Lucas) Nims and Ryan (Holly) Friederich; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Ilo Downs of Overbrook, Kansas, Louis (Mary) Sutter, Jr of Central City, Iowa and Audrey Boeckenheuer of Ossian, Iowa.<\/p>\n
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Friederich, Jr. on August 4, 2011; her parents, Louis and Vera Sutter; and sisters, Marie Abarr, Shirley Halverson, Doris Schott and Karen Sutter.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elgin, Iowa. There will also be a one hour visitation before services at the church on Friday.<\/p>\n
Funeral Service will be 10:30 am on Friday, July 12, 2019 at St. Paul\u2019s United Methodist Church, Elgin, Iowa with Rev. Michael Jager as the Officiant.<\/p>\n
Burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery, Elgin, Iowa.<\/p>\n
