\"\"LaVern Elmer \u201cSchrade\u201d Schrader, 82 of Monona, Iowa died Saturday September 7, 2019 at his residence in Monona. LaVern was born May 31, 1937 in Monona. He was the son of Elmer and Elizabeth (Fette) Schrader. He received his education in Luana, graduating with the class of 1954.<\/p>\n

In March of 1956 he entered the US Army and served until 1958. Schrade was a self-employed carpenter, drove school bus for 43 years and was Luana City Clerk for 25 years. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Luana.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his sister Beverly (Ron) Gunderson of Leesburg, Florida and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marvin.<\/p>\n

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Luana, Iowa with Rev. Harold McMillin as the officiant.<\/p>\n
