Mooney.<\/p>\n<p>Elaine grew up in Lansing, Iowa and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. \u00a0After high school, she attended Viterbo College and while there was featured on a vocal recording.\u00a0 Her natural talents in both music and art brought joy to her and to others. \u00a0Elaine lived and worked in both Minneapolis and Chicago, before settling back in Lansing.<\/p>\n<p>While her greatest purpose was raising her family and loving her grandchildren, Elaine also cared for many other members of her family, never wavering in her commitment and advocacy for those she loved.\u00a0 Her genuine compassion was felt by all who met her, and those who knew her felt lucky to have her as a friend.<\/p>\n<p>A natural red head to the end, she enjoyed matching her jewelry to her outfit, and never left the house without lipstick. Her grandchildren remember her always having ice cream in the freezer, and a hug for all occasions.\u00a0 She was wise and intuitive, loved visiting with people, and road trips with her friend Dorothy.<\/p>\n<p>Elaine leaves behind her children &#8211; Connie (Greg) O\u2019Neill, Cathy Mooney, Dan (Renee) Mooney, Dave (Sheryl) Mooney, and Dawn Mooney. \u00a0Her grandchildren will miss her hugs, laughs, and undeniable love &#8211; Vanessa (Nic) Chritton, Jessica (Nate) Renley, Megan O\u2019Neill, Nick Mooney, Molly O\u2019Neill, Tom Kerndt, Jason Mooney, Jack Mooney, Will Mooney, Cait Weeks, Brenna Weeks, and great grandchildren Charlie and Eloise Chritton.<\/p>\n<p>Share memories and say final good-byes to Elaine with her family. A visitation will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Lansing, Iowa. There will also be a one-hour visitation before mass at the church on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, Iowa with Rev.
