Beverly J. Kelly, 86, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin formerly of Elkader, Iowa died Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the Guttenberg Care Center in Guttenberg, Iowa.\u00a0 Beverly was born November 26, 1933 to Earl and Mildred (Jewell) Sterling at her grandparent\u2019s home in Edgewood, Iowa. She was baptized at the Methodist Church in Edgewood.\u00a0 She received her education at country schools and graduated in May 1951 from Elkader High School, Elkader, Iowa.<\/p>\n
Bev was united in marriage with Alto Kelly on February 17, 1952. The first two years of their marriage, she was able to travel with Alto who was in the Army.\u00a0 Two children were born to this union, Deborah and Randy.\u00a0 She held different jobs during this time.\u00a0 In 1967, they moved to Elkader and farmed until retirement.\u00a0 Beverly was also employed as a Clayton County Dispatcher and was an Avon sales lady for 25 years. Bev enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to auctions, going to the Eagle\u2019s Club and her family, especially attending great-grandchildren\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n
Surviving Beverly is her grandson, Scott (Becky) Kelly of Guttenberg, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Alisha, Trevor, Dustin and Kayla. Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Alto Kelly; her two children, Deborah Kelly and Randy Kelly; her parents, Earl and Mildred Sterling and her special aunt Esther Goering.<\/p>\n
There will be no visitation.\u00a0 A Private Family Burial will be held at a later date.<\/p>\n
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.<\/p>\n
