Richard Corlett, 66, of Farmersburg, Iowa died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Great River Care Center, McGregor, Iowa. Richard Hale was born August 15, 1950 to Hale and Marjorie (Knudson) Corlett Jr. in Elkader, Iowa. Rick graduated from MFL High School in 1969.
Richard was united in marriage with Marcia Miller on December 29, 1974 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Elkader, Iowa. To this union, two sons were born. Rick worked for Rielly Construction for over thirty years and also drove school bus for MFL Mar Mac. He enjoyed fishing, stock car races and spending time with his grandchildren. Rick was an active member of the Farmersburg Fire Department.
Richard is survived by his two sons, Bradley (Margaret) Corlett of Farmersburg, Iowa and David (Peggy) Corlett of McGregor, Iowa; four grandchildren, Ella and Wesley Corlett, Ashley (Thomas) Durnan and Robert Spencer; and one sister, Carleen Dlask of Mason, Michigan.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia on December 27, 2007; parents, Hale and Marjorie Corlett Jr.; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Mariella Miller.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona, Iowa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, March 3, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona, Iowa with Rev. Nils de Jesus Hernandez as the Celebrant.
