Judith Jacquelyn Kuhse, 79, of Monona, Iowa died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Gunderson Lutheran Health Systems, La Crosse, Wisconsin. Judith was born March 1, 1938 to Walter and Irene (Haltmeyer) Blazek in Farmersburg, Iowa. She was confirmed on April 6, 1952 at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, Iowa. Judie graduated from MFL High School in 1956 and attended secretarial school in Dubuque, Iowa for one year.
Judie was united in marriage with Clifford Kuhse on May 25, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, Iowa. They later divorced. She worked on the family farm until 1971. Judie helped take care of her parents and volunteered at the Great River Care Center, McGregor, Iowa for twenty-five years. In her spare time Judith enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, calling bingo at Great River Care Center, going out to eat and watching criminal justice shows on television. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Farmersburg, Iowa.
Judie is survived by her children, Denice (Darwin) Vandersee of Fayette, Iowa, Ken (Vicki) Kuhse of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Kim Kuhse of Barron, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Judie was preceded in death by Clifford Kuhse; her parents, Walter and Irene Blazek; daughter, Di Anna Kuhse; two granddaughters, Emily Vandersee and Amanda Kuhse; and a daughter-in-law, Fay Kuhse.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona, Iowa with a one hour visitation before services at the church Wednesday.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, Iowa with Rev. Harold McMillin as the Officiant.
Burial will follow at Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery, Farmersburg, Iowa.
