Kenneth Joseph Lawson, 66, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Kenneth was born to Sydney Joseph and Tresa Frances (Berta) Lawson on December 31, 1950 in Beloit, Kansas. He graduated from Beloit High School.
Kenneth was united in marriage with Sherry Lynn Bowling on October 25, 2006 at the Prairie du Chien Court House. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for five years in Mitchell County, Kansas and as a Police Officer for six years in Beloit, Kansas. Kenneth umpired semi-pro baseball and softball for forty-five years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ken was a loving husband and father.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sherry Lawson of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; children, Troyette Lawson, Thomas Lawson and Theresa Lawson; nine grandchildren; sister, Kathy Sue Lawson.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Tresa and Sidney Lawson; and one daughter, Tammie Lawson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 1-3 pm followed by a 3 pm prayer service at the Thornburg – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, with Pastor Andy Doll as the officiant.
Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Beloit, KS.
