Pamela Schwanke, 65, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society in Waukon, Iowa. Pamela Ann was born July 3, 1953 to Fred and Geneva (Ottaway) Burckart in Port Arthur, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Monona, Iowa. Pamela graduated from MFL High School in Monona, Iowa.
Pamela was united in marriage with Ronald Schwanke on April 7, 2000. She had a heart of gold and would share anything she had with anyone. Pamela enjoyed gardening and spent many hours fishing.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Ronald Schwanke of Harpers Ferry, Iowa; three children, Michelle Carlson-Fish, Candice Mitchell-Fish and Jesse Fish all of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; and her siblings, Theresa Horns of Monona, Iowa, Vicki Ott of Houston, Minnesota, Brenda Nagel of Viroqua, Wisconsin, Pat Burckart of Waukon, Iowa and Stormy Burckart of Bellevue, Iowa.; and one brother Chris Burckart of Waterloo, Iowa.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Geneva Burckart; sister, Diane Burckart; and two brothers, Mike Burckart and Donald Burckart.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Monona, Iowa.
