Brian has been a licensed FD for 45 years; moving to Elkader in 1974. He and his wife Margaret, a retired teacher, have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. They help their sons operate a resort in NW Minnesota during the summer season. They are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elkader.
