at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, Iowa. Berma Lane, daughter of Albert and Alma (Schroeder) Gulsvig was born March 7, 1917 in Marion Township, Clayton County, Iowa. She was baptized on June 10, 1917 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, Iowa and confirmed November 21, 1929 in the Marion Lutheran Church, Clayton County, Iowa.
Berma completed her education at Postville High School, St. Luke’s Methodist Hospital School of Nursing and Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She served as a Nursing Supervisor at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois from 1941 to 1969. In July 1969 she returned to her parent’s home in Postville, Iowa. Berma rendered tender loving care to her parents until October 18, 1982, when both parents had passed away.
Berma was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alma Gulsvig; and one sister, Eileen Louise Gulsvig
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Postville, Iowa with a one hour visitation from 10-11 am before services at the funeral home on Tuesday. Rev. Marshall Hahn will be the Officiant.
Burial to follow at Postville Cemetery, Postville, Iowa.
