Iva “Bobbie” Adrian, West Union, Iowa, December 5, 2016

Iva “Bobbie” Josephine Adrian, 89, of West Union, Iowa died Monday, December 5, 2016 at Palmer Lutheran Hospital, West Union. Iva was born on July 24, 1927 in West Union to Edwin and Glenn (Scott) Wagner. She graduated from West Union High School in 1945.

Iva was united in marriage with Jack Adrian on May 24, 1951 in West Union. She was a homemaker, caregiver and mother. Bobbie, as she was known by all, enjoyed playing cards and dominos, knitting and reading, watching and cheering on Iowa football and basketball. She loved spending time with her family and attending Saturday breakfast club with her friends. Bobbie was a member of the St. Paul Methodist Church in Elgin and United Methodist Church, West Union, Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary and the Women’s Circle at St. Paul Methodist Church, Elgin.

Iva is survived by her daughter, Jackie Adrian of Ankeny; daughter-in-law, Deb (Ken) Pape of West Union; five grandchildren, Mandy Roe of Ankeny, Adrian (Curtis) Noteboom of Ankeny, Michael Adrian of Ankeny, Matthew Adrian of New London and Molly (Reggie Vine) Adrian of West Union; three great-grandchildren, Owen, Logan and Olivia Noteboom.

Iva was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Adrian on September 5, 2000; one son, Edwin Adrian in 2011; parents, Edwin and Glenn Wagner; and six siblings, Clair Wagner, Carl Wagner, Helen Baumler, Francis Koester, Vern Wagner and Amy Burgess.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, West Union, Iowa with Pastor Chris Ebbers as the Officiant. There will also be a one hour visitation from 10-11 am before services on Thursday at the funeral home in West Union, Iowa.

Inurnment will be at Elgin Cemetery, Elgin, Iowa.
