Stanley Schulte, McGregor, Iowa formerly of New Albin, Iowa, January 15, 2017

Stanley Norbert “Stan” Schulte, 57, of McGregor, Iowa, formerly of New Albin, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at his home in McGregor, Iowa. He was born on August 20, 1959, to Norbert and Rita (Kelly) Schulte in Spring Grove, Minnesota.  He graduated from Kee High School in 1977.

Stan always enjoyed a good game of cards and playing bingo.  He really enjoyed the many family trips to the cabin resorts in northern Minnesota, especially the long pontoon rides on the lakes.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Stan is survived by his father, Norbert Schulte of New Albin, Iowa; his brothers, Jim Schulte of  La Crescent, Minnesota and Bill Schulte and his wife, Kelly, of Chanhassen, Minnesota; sisters, Kelly Galema and her husband, Wayne, of Marshalltown, Iowa and Jody Garin of Newhall, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Darrin (Katelyn) Schulte, Derrek Schulte, Jesse Galema (Alyssa Hall-fiancée), Nathan (Elizabeth) Galema, Stacy Galema, Kory Schulte, Ryan Schulte, Kelsey Garin and Alyssa Garin;  great-nephew, Jaxson Galema; aunts, Mary Jo Kelly of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Jeanette McCormick of Waukon, Iowa, Jean Schulte of Cedar Rapids, Iowa,  and Mary Schulte of Caledonia, Minnesota; uncle, Lloyd (Ruth Ann) Schulte of Waukon, Iowa and many cousins.

Stan was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Schulte; sister, Mary Ellen Schulte and brother-in-law, Randy Garin.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Moser as the Celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in New Albin, Iowa.
