James Joseph Walleser, Lansing, Iowa, May 30, 2017.

James Joseph Walleser, 59, of Lansing, Iowa died Tuesday, May 30, 2017. James was born October 21, 1957 to Wilfred and Bernice (Wagner) Walleser in Waukon, Iowa. He graduated from Kee High in 1976.

James was united in marriage with Terri Delaney on December 30, 1989 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wexford, Iowa. They later divorced.  He worked as a welder and fabricator at Bituma, Pacal and Dillmans. James was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping and hunting. James was an avid sports fan and loved watching his children participate in athletics.

 

James is survived by his five children, Kyle Walleser, Brandon Walleser, Makayla Walleser, Joshua Walleser and Dylan Walleser, all of Lansing, Iowa; mother, Bernice Walleser of Lansing, Iowa; seven siblings, Monica Walleser of Westminster, California, Kenneth (Mary) Walleser of Waterloo, Iowa, Phyllis (Mike) Martino of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Michael Walleser of Lansing, Iowa, Ronald Walleser of Janesville, Wisconsin, Lynn (Mark) Oehler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Neil Walleser of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; and seven nephews.

 

James was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Walleser in 2001; and one brother, Duane Walleser.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm Friday, June 2, 2017 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing, Iowa. There will also be a one hour visitation before Mass at the church on Saturday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lansing, Iowa with Rev. John Moser as the Celebrant.
