Alma Funk, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, October 16, 2017

Alma Marie Funk, 77, of Prairie du Chien Wisconsin died Monday, October 16, 2017 at Manor Care, Platteville, Wisconsin. Alma Marie was born on August 26, 1940 to Clement and Delora (Bunders) Lechnir in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin. She graduated from Prairie du Chien High School.

Alma was united in marriage with Al Funk in 1995 at her home in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was employed at BA Kennedy, Martin Luther Prep, Holiday Gas Station and Opportunity Center before retiring. Alma loved line dancing and riding motorcycle with her husband. They biked as far north as the North Pole and down south as far as Texas. She also enjoyed quilting with friends and line dancing. Alma was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

Alma is survived by her two children, Laurie Wiemerslage and Lonnie (Shelly) Wiemerslage of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband on June 6, 2006; son, Larry Wiemerslage; her parents; and one brother, Clem Lechnir.

No services are planned at the time.
