Eleanor Joyce Smith, 85, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wisconsin. Eleanor Joyce was born May 18, 1932 to Edward and Zelma (Wilson) Swahla in Waterloo, Iowa.
Eleanor was united in marriage with Lauren Smith on August 21, 1975 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Iowa. She worked as a beautician and also helped Lauren manage and maintain apartment
Buildings. Eleanor was a great cook.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Lauren; children, Douglas Reiseck of Waterloo, Iowa, David Reiseck of Waterloo, Iowa and Cathy (Roger) Bearbrower of Waterloo ; two step-children, Jeffrey Smith of Aiken, Minnesota and Bonni Soy of Greene, Iowa; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Zelma Swahla; one brother, Wilson Swela; and a sister, Donna Swahla.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
