Darlene Yeoman, Lansing, Iowa, October 12, 2018

Darlene Yeoman, 85, of Lansing, Iowa died Friday, October 12, 2018 at Thornton Manor, Lansing, Iowa. She was born on April 1, 1933 to John and Elsie (Hayes) Pohlman in New Albin, Iowa. She graduated from New Albin High School in 1951.

On June 4, 1953, Darlene was united in marriage with Gene Yeoman at the United Methodist Church in New Albin, Iowa. Three daughters were born to this union, Ruth, Shirley and Nancy. Darlene worked forty years at Lansing Company. She was a member of Eastern Star. Darlene enjoyed traveling with friends, road trips, playing Bingo, attending church suppers and taking bus trips. Darlene was an avid sports fan, and was especially fond of watching her children and grandchildren play. She was also a big supporter of Kee High. Darlene’s great joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her three daughters, Ruth (Darrell) Peters of Lansing, Shirley (Cyril) Mathis of Buffalo City, Wisconsin and Nancy Yeoman of Ettrick, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Andrew (Tiffanie) Peters, Mike (Molly) Peters, Jessica (Matt) Hoth, Jared (Sarah) Mathis, Bree (Jason) Lee and Kaysey Lehrke and eleven great-grandchildren, Lewis and Edward Peters, Sam, Drew and Ava Peters, Shay and Maren Mathis,  Alayna and Ember Lee and Kai and Sage Hoth.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Gene on December 20, 2013; parents, John and Elsie Pohlman; and an infant sister, Josephine.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, October 15, 2018 at United Methodist Church, Lansing, Iowa.

Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 15, 2018 at United Methodist Church, Lansing, Iowa with Rev. Sedar Wembonyama as the officiant.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing, Iowa.
