Marjorie Strudthoff, West Union, Iowa, March 23, 2019

Marjorie Marilyn Strudthoff, 85, of West Union, Iowa died Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society in West Union, Iowa.  Marjorie Marilyn was born October 14, 1933 to Glen and Elizabeth (Erickson) Minger in Wadena, Iowa. She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1951, attended one year at Upper Iowa and finished her nursing degree in Rochester, Minnesota.

Marjorie was united in marriage with William Strudthoff on June 23, 1956 in Fayette, Iowa. She began working in 1956 as a nurse for Palmer Hospital and worked there for over fifty years. After retiring, Marjorie served on the hospital board until the mid-1990’s.

Marjorie is survived by her children, David (Denise) Strudthoff of Stoddard, Wisconsin, Paul Strudthoff of West Union, Iowa, Kim (Kelly) Anderson of Orlando, Florida and Michelle (Karim Ait Hmid) Libby of Vancouver, Canada; two grandchildren, Faith Libby and Roan Libby; and one sister, Arlene O’Loughlin of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Strudthoff in 2013; and two brothers, Dale Minger and Bob Minger.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a 4 pm Rosary and a 6:45 pm Scripture Service on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Union, Iowa.  There will also be a one hour visitation before Mass at the church on Saturday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union, Iowa with Rev. Don Komboh as the celebrant.

Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, West Union, Iowa.
