James Horkheimer, 76, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin died Monday, June 10, 2019 at the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice Care, Viroqua, Wisconsin. James Allen was born on June 25, 1942 to Donald and Alva (May) Horkheimer in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He graduated from Prairie du Chien High School.
James worked construction for several companies in California and Milwaukee. He enjoyed playing pool and boxing.
James is survived by his two children, Laura (David) Peck of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Vincent (Sophie) Horkheimer of Oakley, California; five grandchildren, Noel Peck, Alexander Peck, Olivia Peck, Madeline Peck and Victoria Horkheimer; and three sisters, Gloria Horkheimer of West Salem, Wisconsin, Rita Horkheimer of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and Bonnie (Ronald) La Pointe of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
