Jeanette Gauf, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, October 11, 2019

Jeanette Ilene Gauf went to be with Jesus on October 11, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 9, 1948 to Charlotte (Alderman) and Keith Steinmetz in the town of Stark. She grew up in LaFarge, Wisconsin.

Jeanette married Roger Grogan on January 16, 1965. Dawn and Charles were of this union. She married James Gauf Sr. on April 27, 1970. Mark and James were of this union. Jeanette worked at Rayovac for twenty-one years.  She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, hosting many many family dinners, camping and spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Dawn (Mike) Stephenson of Prairie Du Chien, WI, Charles (Tammy) of Ocala, Florida, Mark Gauf of Reedsburg, James Gauf of New Lisbon, WI, Deb (Harry) Boyden of Rockford, Il, Cindy (Greg) Rodgers of Rockford, IL, Ethyl Jean of Rockford, IL, James Gauf JR (Kim) of Rockford, IL an Karen Cooper  of Rockford, IL; many many grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to name. She is also survived by her brothers, Dennis Steinmetz of Reedsburg, Wi, Cecil Steinmetz of Elroy, WI, Clifford Steinmetz and Russell Steinmetz of Reedsburg, WI.

Preceding her in death, her husband James of thirty-three years; her parents, Charlotte and Keith Steinmetz; sisters, Myra and Sharon, brother, Lester; son -in- law, Joe (Ethyl Jean); and her daughter- In-law, Tammy (Mark) Gauf; and three grandchildren, Steven, Patrick and Tammy.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Wonewoc, Wisconsin.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Wonewoc, Wisconsin with Pastor Wesley Jacob is officiating.
