Rose M. Benedict, 96 of Lansing, Iowa died Thursday February 13, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon.
Rose was born May 22, 1923 at Waverly to Orville and Maud Parrett, Jordan. She graduated from East Waterloo High School.
On January 29, 1945 she married Bill Benedict in Waterloo. They were the parents of Dana Benedict of Harpers Ferry and Sharol Squires of Guttenberg.
Rose is survived by her children Dana (Connie) Benedict of Harpers Ferry, Sharol (Mark) Squires of Guttenberg; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill in 1995; one sister, Helyn Wienands; three brothers, Orville Jordan, Floyd Jordan and Don Jordan.
Rose loved her grandchildren, was an avid reader and collecting chicken figurines.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, Iowa.
