Sandra Pauline Schlitter, 71, of McGregor, Iowa died Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Mayo Health Systems in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Sandra Pauline was born November 20, 1948 to Harvey and Carlotta (Moen) Standorf in McGregor, Iowa. She attended country school through the eighth grade and then attended Mar-Mac Community School.
Sandra was united in marriage with Frank Schlitter on August 18, 1984 at Giard Methodist Church in Giard, Iowa. She helped on the farm alongside her husband, Frank. Her hobbies included crafting, doing jigsaw puzzles, baking, cooking, listening to Country and Gospel music. Sandra enjoyed working in the sunshine while gardening, tending to her flowers and mowing the lawn.
Surviving Sandra are her husband, Frank Schlitter of McGregor, Iowa; two children, Arlyn (Tina) Loper of Monona, Iowa and Rhonda (Kurt) Schaller of McGregor, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Austin, Savannah, Samantha. Jacob, Jolynn, Heather, Travis and Chawna; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Al (Sandi) Standorf of Eldora, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Lynda Standorf of Dubuque, Iowa.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Carlotta Standorf; one sister, Shirley (Don) Johanningmeier; and two brothers, Harlan (Karen) Standorf and Ron Standorf.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Monona Community Center in Monona, Iowa.
