Judith Laurayne (Olson) Iseli, 78, of Waukon, Iowa died Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was born May 23, 1941 to Evelyn and Hulda (Kerstein) Olson in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Judith was united in marriage with Robert F. Iseli on February 1, 1959 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lansing, Iowa. Three children were born to this union, Evelyn, Gary and Wanda.
Judith spent twenty-nine years at Veterans Memorial Hospital working in the Dietary Department. In her younger years Judith liked to Square Dance. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards, scrabble, Chinese checkers and speed. Judith loved her trips to the casinos, traveling and fishing. She enjoyed making many quilts and afghans and countless cakes for special family occasions.
Judy was the rock to her family and will be missed greatly. She was a wonderful mom and grandma.
Surviving Judith is her husband, Robert; children, Evelyn (Leon) Goedken, Gary (Laura) Iseli and Wanda (Leonard) Waters; grandchildren; Lenny, Ashley, Lee, Amanda, and Luke Waters, Justin, Daniel, Emily, Hannah Iseli, Brittany, Nicole, and Brian Goedken; great grandchildren, Owen, Eli, Aidrik and Iris Osterhaus, Zack and Aubrey Waters, Teia, Gabe and Claire Norris and Bradley Goedken; two-step granddaughters, Molly Waters and Wanda Waters; brothers, Rodney Olson and James (Aggie) Olson; her sister, Anita Sorum; and brothers-in-law, John (Mary) Iseli and David Iseli.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; brothers, George, Hartley and Curt; sister, Joyce; sisters-in-law, Kay Olson; brother-in-law, Richard Iseli and one granddaughter-in-law, Chelsea Waters.
A Private Family Visitation will be held.
A Public Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Lansing Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, Iowa with Rev. Sedar Wembomyama as the officiant.
