Frances Levora Helms, 82, of Elgin, Iowa died Monday, June 15, 2020 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was born on November 4, 1937 to Herman and Lida (Popenhagen) Larson in Wadena, Iowa. Frances graduated from Elgin High School, Elgin and attended Luther College, Decorah for two years.
Frances was a life-time member of the Elgin Lutheran Church. She loved music, playing piano, the Iowa Hawkeyes, was a football and basketball fan and she loved to cook.
Frances is survived by her three sons, Monte Helms of Elgin, Dr. Greg (Tracy Martineau) Helms of Corvallis, Oregon and Nathan Helms of Elgin; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Larson of Marion, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Herman Larson Jr. and Wayne Larson.
Services are planned for a later date.
