Edna Wyninger, Lansing, Iowa, July 28, 2020

Edna Marie Wyninger, 68, of Lansing Iowa died Tuesday July 28, 2020 at her home after a long battle with cancer.  She was born July 4, 1952 to Gordon and Zola (Wiedner) Belden in Machester, Iowa.  Edna was baptized in Elkader and graduated from East High in Waterloo, Iowa in 1970.

Edna was united in marriage with William (Bill) Wyninger on January 29, 1971 at St Nicholas Catholic Church in Evansdale, Iowa.  They had 4 children from this union, Amy, Cary, Megan and Eric.  In 1979 they moved the family to Lansing Iowa, where they have happily raised their children and lived since.  Edna spent many years working at Horsefalls in Lansing, and seeing to the religious education of many Immaculate Conception Catholic youth.  She was also involved in the community as a Girl Scout leader.  She became a Massage Therapist in 1998 and worked for the PT Clinic and VMH in Waukon.  She also did massage out of her home, and in Lansing.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, her Monday morning coffee group, Village Creek Bible camp activities and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her husband, Bill of Lansing; her four children Amy (Steven) Johnson of Waukon, Cary Wyninger of Galesville, Wisconsin, Megan (Sam) Saltou of Waukon, and Eric (Stacy) Wyninger of Waukon; eight grandchildren, Gordon (Summer), Bailey (Tyler), Lauren, Riley, Shelby, Chloe, Juniper, and Alder; four great grandchildren; her siblings, Chris (Rick) Cleghorn of Littleton, Colorado, Kevin Belden of Evansdale, Charles (Carolyn) Belden of Waterloo and Mary (Greg) Seitz of  Raymond Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Zola Belden, her brother Gordon Jr, and her sister in law Susan Belden.

Visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Monday August 3, 2020 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Lansing, Iowa.

A private family Mass will be held with Fr. Sean Smith as the celebrant.

Inurnment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Crossing Rivers Hospice in Prairie du Chein Wisconsin.
