Bruce A. “Wyatt” Richardson, 55, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020. He was born on January 11, 1965 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin to William and Mary Elgens Ames Richardson.
On August 23, 1986 Bruce was united in marriage with Teresa Marie Eilers at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. Bruce was an avid family man and a great outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was Nascar enthusiast. Bruce was a member of the Bridgeport Fire Department for thirty-two years and the Eastman Fire Department for five years. He worked at Gencor Bituma for thirty years as a welder and supervisor. Bruce had excellent work ethics and was always there to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. Bruce will be sadly missed by family and his best friend, Jim Lessard.
Surviving Bruce are his wife of thirty-four years, Teresa Richardson of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; his children, Cody (fiance’ Chelsi Mezera) Richardson of Eastman, Wisconsin and Katie Richardson of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Addylyn Gore, Bentley Richardson, Waylon Richardson and Charleigh Donahue. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Elgene Richardson; brothers, Rodney, Phillip and William Richardson; sisters, Kalynn and Georgene Richardson and Janita Bushman; mother-in-law, Joyce Eilers (Francis “Bud” Esser) of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, William Richardson; father-in-law, Cyril Eilers; and his grandparents, John and Alta Ames.
A Private Funeral will be held at the Thornburg – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
A Private Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
Those attending all private services are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
