Rose Mary Tielbar, 85, of Farmersburg, Iowa died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Mercy One Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. Rosie was born to Lloyd E. and Viola (Jones) Amundson on April 22, 1936 in Postville, Iowa. She attended Farmersburg School and graduated from MFL High School in 1954.
Rosie was united in marriage with L’Dean Tielbar on October 25, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa, celebrating sixty years together in 2017. Rosie was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and home maker. She enjoyed cooking, card club, helping on church committees, working at Monona Wire and especially going out with the girls on Friday nights. She was a member of the Farmersburg Fireflies and St. John Lutheran Church.
Surviving Rose Mary are her children, Lori (Denton) Wunder of Milford, Iowa, Lisa (Gary) Geick of Guttenberg, Iowa, Lyndean (Mary Beth) Tielbar of Farmersburg, Iowa, Layne (Rebbecca) Tielbar of Schuyler, Nebraska and Lindelle (Loren) Scherf of Farmersburg, Iowa; grandchildren, Jamie (Brandi), Christopher, Jonathan (Kim), Emily (Brandon), Morgan, Tessa (J.D.), Erin (Joe), Erica, Brennan (Alecia), Kailyn (Brandon), Dana (Wesley), Martyn, Jay, Wyatt and Bryce; great-grandchildren, Chase, Matthew, Gaige, Lene’e, Reyna, Ronin, Scotty, Arthur, Taylor, Dallas, J.J., Ruby, Brilee, Gracilyn, Asher, Lyla, Dean, and Josiah. She is also survived by sisters, Linda Buechler and Rita Leliefeld, many nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, and Dave.
Preceding Rosie in death were her husband L’Dean; daughter Lene’e; grandson Devin; her parents, Lloyd E. and Viola Amundson; brothers Burdell and Lloyd Jr., and one sister Marlene.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa.
Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa with Rev. Jeremy Wolfe as the officiant.
Inurnment will be held at a later date
