Herald Eugene Stagman, 90, of Lynxville, Wisconsin died Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Herald was born on September 24, 1931 to Richard and Bessie (Harper) Stagman. On July 17, 1951, Herald was united in marriage with Leona Rider in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

Herald enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing and camping. Later in life he got into crafts.

Surviving Herald are his six children, Donna Giddings of Lynxville, Wisconsin, Ken (Carol) Stagman of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, Nancy Mueller of Luana, Iowa, Peggy (Steve) Tainter of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Norma (Frank) Schulze of Bristol, Connecticut and Cindy (Dave) Landwehr of Depere, Wisconsin; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria (Alan) Morovits of Eastman, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Grace Stagman of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Helen Schmelz of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Maxine Wall of Eastman, Wisconsin; brothers-in-law, Wayne Rider of Linden, Wisconsin and Chris Gebhard of Woodman, Wisconsin.

Herald was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Stagman on September 22, 2003; his parents, Richard and Bessie Stagman; son, Eddie Stagman; sons-in-law, Collin Giddings, Michael Ziegler and Tim Mueller; granddaughter, Crystal Sickles; sisters, Ruth (Willard) Giddings, Vernice (Paul) Poller; brother, Glenn Stagman; sisters-in-law, LaVonna Gebhard, Loretta (Leonard) Carl, Minnie Rider; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Ellen) Rider, Jerome (Marion) Rider and Ricky Rider.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin with Rev. Lynn Schreck as the Officiant. There will be a one hour visitation before services at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Burial will follow at Dickson Ridge Cemetery in Lynxville, Wisconsin.
