Earl LeRoy Lehmann, 88, of Elgin, Iowa died Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at his home in Elgin. He was born on September 4, 1934 to John and Caroline (Meyer) Lehmann in Hampton, Iowa. Earl graduated from Hampton High School, Hampton, Iowa and served in the United States Army National Guard.
Earl was united in marriage with Rosemary Crilly on September 24, 1955 in Williams, Iowa. Six children were born to this union, Ardith, Gary, Glenda, Darcie, Jeff and Bruce. Earl was a dairy farmer most of his life in Iowa Falls, Charles City and fifty-six years in Elgin. He also raised registered Belgian horses for the last twenty-five years. He was a lifetime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Earl was also a Moorman’s Feeds Salesman, a breeder with Global ABS and board member for Dairy Farmers of America for many years. Earl loved his grandchildren, being playful with his great grandchildren, family gatherings, his horses and hanging out with his Amish friends and coffee group.
Earl is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Rosemary of Elgin; his six children, Ardith (Jim) Phillips of Cedar Falls, Gary (Melisa) Lehmann of Elgin, Glenda Olmstead of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Darcie (Dave) Notton of Davenport, Jeff (Lori) Lehmann of Wadena and Bruce (Sarah) Lehmann of Clermont; eighteen grandchildren, Lindsay(Buck), Matt, Kyle (Elizabeth) and Jack(Lindsay), Erica (Tim), Tonya (Travis), and Brianna, Alexis, Brett (Nikki), and Heidi, Kacy (Nick), Shaun (Morgan), Sheena (Ricky), Shantel (Mark), Shelby (Kevin), Ryin and Payten and twenty-six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marlys Jass. of Iowa Falls, Beverly (Bill) Weidemann of Dows, Karen (Marlyn) Tripp of Hampton and Linda (Steve) Wedgebury of Dike; a sister-in-law, Janice Lehmann of Ames, sisters-in-law, Charlotte Brim and Jeanette Ratzke of Williams, Iowa, brother-in-law Richard Bradley of Castle Rock, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his grandson, Kelby Lehmann; son-in-law, Danny Olmstead; his parents; a sister, Barbara Murra and a brother, Donald Lehmann.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 4-7 pm at St. Peter ‘s Catholic Church, Clermont, Iowa with a one-hour visitation before Mass at the church on Friday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday, November 4, 2022 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Clermont, Iowa with Rev. Donald Hertges as the Celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Clermont, Iowa.
