Andrew Paul Larson, Watertown, Wisconsin, December 10, 2022

Andrew Paul Larson, 54, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, IA, with family by his side after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Andrew was born April 28, 1968,  to Paul Ivan Larson and Corene Joann (Reimer) Larson- Burke. He graduated from Central Elkader High School in 1986. After graduation he attended Kirkwood Community College and worked at Osborne Clayton County Conservation Center. In 1989, Andrew moved to Watertown, WI, and went to work for Morton Buildings, where he worked for 33 years, until the time of his death. He built many special friendships with his Morton “family” for whom he gave each a special nickname. He was known as “Dice”, the guy who spent countless hours cleaning and organizing his truck.

Andrew learned at a very early age, under the wing of his grandpa, the many challenges and rewards of life. Life that he so enjoyed. He loved to hunt, fish, go mushroom hunting, and just being in the great outdoors. He was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey team, the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team, and watching NASCAR races.

His greatest love was being with Dylan, family and friends, most of whom will miss hearing his signature greeting “Hey Darlin”. Those left to cherish Andrew’s memory are his mom, Corene Burke, Elkader, IA; his son Dylan Larson, Norway, IA; his sisters, Angie (Ron) Lenth, Hiawatha, IA, Shelli (John) Walke, Claremore, OK; brother, Hunter (Janice) Burke, Maxwell, IA;  nieces and nephews, Courtney(Jeff) Rezin, Zachary( Renee) Lenth, Eric(Heather) Walke, Lyndon (Ashley) Walke, Cayla, Caleb and Cade Burke;  three great- nieces, Finley and Mya Lenth, Campbell Rezin and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Paul Larson; step-father, William R Burke; grandparents, Orville and Beulah Reimer; William Larson and Dorothe Larson- Kainz.

Visitation: 10:00 AM until Noon – Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Elkader.

Funeral Service:  Noon on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 also at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Elkader.

Interment will follow at Eastside Cemetery in Elkader.
