Harold Henry Goad, 84, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien after a short illness. He was born May 11, 1938 to Victor and Viola (Hardt) Goad in Sycamore, Illinois. Harold was drafted in the United States Army in 1960.
Throughout the years, Harold lived in Illinois and Wisconsin. He loved fishing with his sidekick, Carl Stagman, bowling and wood working. Harold was united in marriage with Anna Whaples, two daughters were born to this union. Harold was then united in marriage with Mable Nelson, to this union was born a son.
Surviving Harold are his fiance’, Sharon Stagman of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; his children, Kathryn Jones of Walworth, Wisconsin, Lisa Nordmeyer (Tim Meyers) of Walworth, Wisconsin and Bob (Zina) Goad of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; and his grandchildren, James Goad, Justin (Shelby) Goad, Tasha Nordmeyer and Cody Jones; his siblings, Dorothy Millner, Richard (Kathy) Goad, Alice Fisher, Loretta (Arnie) Baumann and Robert (Betty) Goad; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Viola Goad; sister, Joyce Fehrmann; and his brother, Dennis Goad.
Funeral Service with Military Rites will be at 11:00 am on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin with Deacon Patrick Malanaphy as the officiant. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am before services at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Crossing Rivers Hospice.
