Nellie Norene Bouzek, 96, of Prairie du Chien Wisconsin passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at her niece’s home in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Nellie was born May 22, 1926 to William and Clara (Griest) Campbell in Grant County, Wisconsin. She attended and graduated from Patch Grove High School in 1943.
In 1945, Nellie was united in marriage with Howard Ransom, he passed away in 1970. In December of 1970, Nellie married Kenneth Dubel, he passed away in January 1979. On March 20, 1982, Nellie was united in marriage with Henry Bouzek, Henry passed away February 14, 2000. Through out the years, Nellie was a waitress and cook. She specialized in pie baking. Nellie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, mushroom and watercress gathering. She enjoyed a few winters spent in Arizona. Nellie purchased land in Cumberland, Wisconsin that is enjoyed by many to this day. Her greatest joy was visiting with her family and friends.
Surviving Nellie are her children, Pat (Jerry) Felder of Fall River, Wisconsin, Kathy Dubel of Lancaster, Wisconsin, Judy Champion of New Diggins, Wisconsin, Cathy (Jim) Stacy of Verona, Wisconsin, Tom (Diane) Bouzek of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and Dave Langdon of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; special niece, Linda Smrcina of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; many great nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great -great nephews and great friends.
Nellie was preceded in death by her three husbands; infant daughter, Beverly Ransom; her parents; children, Leander Dubel, Bill Champion and Betty Langdon; grandson, Tom Champion; three brothers, William (Dorothy) Campbell, David Campbell and Norman Campbell; three sisters, Betty (Dale) Braudt, Joyce (Harley) Eggleston and Mary (Arden) Bean.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin with Rev. Miranda Klosterboer as the officiant.
Burial will follow at Mt. Ida Cemetery in Mt. Ida, Wisconsin.
