Inez Langhus passed away April 13th at the age of 99. Inez was born near Erskine, Minnesota where she lived and worked on the family farm until graduation from high school. After Graduation, she attended teacher training school and taught in a rural one room school house until she married Eddie Langhus in 1946 and was required to retire by law.
Inez and Eddie had 4 children and lived the majority of their lives in Rochester, Minnesota. During those years, Inez was employed as a seamstress sewing draperies, with the dispatch office of the Minnesota State Highway Patrol in Rochester and as Distributions Editor for St John’s Abbey Liturgical Press in Collegeville, Minnesota.
Inez enjoyed gardening, and sewing. She was an active member of the quilting ministry at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester until a few years ago when her sight began to fail.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents Mattie and John Theo. Johnson, husband Eddie, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by her children David, Jim (Linette), Barbara (Chris) and Karen (Bernard), 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
