Thomas George Wolcott, age 69, died Monday, May 15, 2023 at Benedictine Manor in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Tom was born on September 16, 1953 to Glenn and Mildred (Eggleston) Wolcott at the former Beaumont Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI. Tom worked at the turkey plant in Postville, IA, Prairie Tool Company in Prairie du Chien, WI and last as a paper delivery man for Shopping News in Prairie du Chien. Tom was always tinkering with something. He enjoyed spending time with his children as much as he could and enjoyed visiting with family. He also loved talking on his CB radio and his handle was “Country Boy”. He really enjoyed country music. He was also an avid Chevy fan.
Tom is survived by his two sons Glenn (Tanya) Wolcott of West Union, IA, and Kirk Wolcott of Prairie du Chien, WI. His grandchildren Gregory, William, Abigail and Nicolas all of West Union, IA. Also survived by the mother of his children Lucinda Wolcott of Prairie du Chien, WI, his siblings Duane (Carol) Wolcott, Carolyn (Dan) Wokosin, Bill (Cookie) Wolcott, Rita (Don) Hoelker and his girlfriend Mary Hexom.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jim, Raymond and Bob.
A Visitation will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home, 118 N. Wacouta Ave, Prairie du Chien. There will also be a one hour visitation before services at the funeral home on Saturday.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien with Pastor Hillary Burns-Kite officiating.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Dickson Cemetery, Lynxville, WI.
Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin is assisting the family with services.
