Throughout the years Andy worked for Milwaukee Railroad, McGregor Grain Elevator, Bituma/Gencor, Miss Marquette and 3M.  He enjoyed hunting deer, raccoon, rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, turkey and duck.  Additionally, he found joy fishing with his father “Big John”, children and friends on the Mississippi, as well as a special deep sea fishing excursion while on a family vacation.  Andy spent many years horseback riding, starting with his pony Trigger at age seven, leading rides at the family’s A&J Trail Rides (where he met Mary), and continuing through adulthood with his friends and family.   In combination with a love of the outdoors, he found ways to support his family through ginseng hunting, commercial fishing, clamming, trapping and coon hunting. He was the proud grandfather of Tacoma, Jaxton, Abram, Mason, Levi, Patrick, Brooklyn, Brynlee, Owen, Tate, Braelyn, Ella, Lainey and Cooper. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and watching TV with his cat Timone “Buddy”.  Andy was a member of the McGregor Fire department for many years and served on the McGregor City Council.
