Donna June Duha, 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Donna was born on June 16, 1938 in Excelsior, Richland County, Wisconsin to Marion and Nora (Morgan) Bailey. She graduated from Boscobel High School in 1956 and attended Southwest Tech for Cosmetology and CNA Training.
Donna was united in marriage to Lloyd Duha on March 3, 1962 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Throughout the years Donna worked as a CNA and in Home Health in Soldiers Grove and Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and also at the Miss Marquette in Marquette, Iowa. She was a member of Utica Lutheran Church, rural Ferryville and when the children were younger and involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H, Donna was a Leader. Donna enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and going to the quilting club at the Utica Lutheran Church.
Donna is survived by three daughters, Cheryl (Dale) Urbanek of Cashton, Deanna (John) Anderson of Mt. Sterling, and Joan (Scott) Paulson of Prairie du Chien; two sons, Jim (Shannon) Duha of Holmen, and Chuck (Amy) Duha of Eastman; three half-sisters, Judy Bailey of Janesville, Jean (Stanley) Miller of Viroqua, and Lucy Bailey of Sparta; a half-brother, Paul (Wanda) Bailey of Cedar Falls Iowa; a brotherin-law, Eldon (Sue) Duha of Whitehall; a sister-in law, Lois Duha of Fennimore; grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah), Casey (Jimmy), Carrie (Patrick), Heather (Brandon), Heidi, Jonathan (Bethany), Allison, Mike (Sandy), Ann, Amber (Albert), Andrew (Josie), Thomas (Alexandra), Brandon (Katie), Cameron (Rachel), Justine (Kal), Austin, and Dillon; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd in 2015; a daughter, Lori in 1966; a son, Steven in 1991; two brothers, Marion Jr. (Judy), and Rennie; sisters, Roscilia (Burl) Gander, Chloe
(Harland) Grandstaff, Ruby (Dallas) Keepers, Geraldine “Dutch” (Cecil) Miller, Lenice (Leo) Stafford, and
Darlene (Mike) Smith; and a half-brother, Leland (Carol) Bailey.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. There will also be a one hour visitation before services at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin with Rev. Lynn Schreck as the officiant.
Burial will follow at National Cemetery in Eastman, Wisconsin.
