Patricia “Pat” Ann Van Natta, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, January 29, 2024

Patricia “Pat” Ann Van Natta, 76 of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin went home to her Savior on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She had suffered a severe brain bleed on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at her home. Pat was born October 17, 1947, the first of eight children of Bernard and Annabel Barr. She graduated from Potosi High School in 1966.

Pat was united in marriage with her Saddle Club Sweetheart, Vernon Van Natta of Lancaster, Wisconsin. Pat and Vernon moved to Ozark, Arkansas to attend Bible College, while there they were blessed with two daughters, Pamela and Paula. They moved back to the Grant County area where they were blessed with a third daughter, Mary and the one and only favorite son, Matthew. The Van Natta Family moved to Prairie du Chien in 1976. Pat worked several years at the Prairie du Chien Nursing home. When Vernon started Big V’s Cleaning Service, Pat became his righthand! She also worked several years with Homeward Bound and Lori Knapp Homes. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and so loved her church family.

Surviving Pat are her four children; Pam (David) Moore of Newcaster, Oklahoma, Paula Van Natta of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Mary Sparks (Chuck Mercer) of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and  Matthew (Tara) Van Natta; sisters, Marie (John) McGuire of Hahira, Georgia, Carol (Raymond) Leigh of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin and Connie (Shayne) Chapman of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin; brothers, Dwayne “Butch” Barr of Darlington, Wisconsin, David (Arlene) Barr of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, Terry Barr of Viroqua, Wisconsin and Tim (Leanne) Barr of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother- in-law, Ron (Diane) Van Natta of Lancaster, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Kathy Wall of Lancaster, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Van Natta; both her parents, Bernard and Annabel Barr; in-laws, Eugene and Mildred Van Natta; and her brothers-in-law, Larry Van Natta and Clem Wall Jr.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. There will also be a one hour visitation before services at the church on Tuesday.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin with Pastor Andrew Doll as the officiant.

Burial will follow at Little Grant Cemetery in Bloomington, Wisconsin.
