Tamara Michelle Miller, 53, of Oran, Iowa, passed away March 13, 2024, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with a rare autoimmune disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis.
Tammy was born on May 14, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Barbara and Michael (Mick) Schupbach. She graduated from Wapsie Valley High School in 1988. She was a great lover of the outdoors and worked at Backbone State Park after high school. Tammy worked for many years in customer service at Quest/Century Link and later with troubled youth at a group home. She was united in marriage to the late Timothy Todd Miller in 1998; the couple later divorced.
You could always find Tammy with a camera in hand, a big smile and contagious laugh. This past year, Tammy spent her time working on her genealogy, snuggling with her cats, and loving on her family. Her children and granddaughter were her greatest joy.
Tammy is survived by her two children, Todd (Brooke) Miller of Waterloo, and Hannah Miller of Hiawatha; a most beloved granddaughter Maila, that Tammy claimed was her whole world; two siblings, Jason (Abby) Schupbach of Waterloo and Theresa Behling of Eden Prairie Minnesota; and nieces and nephews that loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents.
