Connie Lou Koehn, 75, of Elkader, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Elkader Care Center. She was born in McGregor, Iowa, to Alvin and Ruby (Kurth) Koehn.
She attended Central School in Elkader. Connie worked at different positions for over 35 years at various restaurants in Elkader, lastly – retiring from Johnson’s. She always had a smile on her face and was ready and willing to help anyone!
Family was so important to her. Connie lived with her Mom, Dad and brother, and enjoyed cooking, and doing whatever needed to be done! She loved spending time with all of her family – nieces, nephews – caring for them – reading to them was a joy for her. Kids played an important part of her life.
Connie is survived by her brother, Daryl (Lori Koss) Koehn; niece, Stacy (Justin) Fuelling; nephew, Corey (Sara) Koehn; great nieces and nephews, Diezel Fuelling, Weston Fuelling, Abby Fuelling, Griffin Koehn, Mason Koehn, Dylan Koehn; very close family friends, Nancy Dennler and Beth Dennler Rood and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Alvin and Ruby and brother, Tom.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 9AM until 10AM at Peace United Church of Christ in Elkader.
Funeral Services will follow at 10AM also at Peace United Church of Christ in Elkader. Rev. Paula Anderson will officiate.
Inurnment: East Side Cemetery, Elkader.
